We are Refining our Organic Practices

October 17, 2024

At Impact Roasters, our commitment to ethically sourced, high-quality coffee has always been at the heart of what we do. Many of our customers love our organic coffee selections from Ethiopia. However, we’ve recently made an important change: we will no longer carry official organic certification for these coffees.

Why the Change?

The decision didn’t come lightly. The process of obtaining and maintaining organic certification has become increasingly bureaucratic and time-consuming. Additionally, we can no longer import organic-certified beans directly from the farmers we collaborate with. Rather than diverting our attention to lengthy paperwork, we’ve chosen to focus on what really matters—ensuring that the coffee you love is produced sustainably, responsibly, and with care.

The Great News!

Even though we’ve dropped the official certification, all of our Ethiopian coffees remain organic in practice! The farmers we work with have always embraced traditional farming methods that prioritize environmental stewardship and avoid harmful chemicals. So while the label might be missing, rest assured that the same top-quality coffee and commitment to responsible sourcing remain intact.
